Special Souls helps senior and special needs cats find loving homes by partnering with cat rescue organizations to sponsor cats in their care. Together, we raise awareness and promote these Sponsored Cats to connect them with potential adopters. Once a rescue organization finalizes an adoption, Special Souls provides financial support to the adopter by reimbursing up to $10,000 for food, supplies, medical care, and medications, ensuring these cats receive the care they need in their new homes.

Special Souls provides financial assistance to adopters of our Sponsored Cats through a straightforward reimbursement process. Once an agreement is signed outlining the scope of the reimbursement, adopters can submit receipts for eligible expenses. Special Souls then processes the reimbursement and sends funds via check, Venmo, or Zelle within five business days, ensuring adopters receive timely support for their cat’s care. On a case-by-case basis, Special Souls may be able to pay retailers and veterinarians directly.

If you’re interested in adopting a senior or special needs cat that isn’t currently one of our Sponsored Cats, reach out to us! If the cat is at one of our partner organizations, we’ll work with them to provide sponsorship. If the cat is at an organization we don’t yet partner with, we’ll contact them to explore a partnership and potential sponsorship to help support your adoption.

While we’re passionate about helping senior and special needs cats find loving homes, Special Souls is not involved in the adoption process. Our Sponsored Cats remain in the care of our partner rescue organizations, each of which follows its own adoption procedures. Adoption decisions are made solely by the rescue organization, and we respect their process in finding the best match for each cat.cription
